In this paper we propose the snow mobility vehicle in order increase the mobility and decrease the risk of accidents for carry food and medicines on snow bounded areas using unmanned tracked vehicle called as snowmobii 2.0. Our unmanned tracked vehicle can transport Food/medicines as well as Defence in snow bounded areas. This unmanned robot can run in loose as well as hard snow due to it have specific featured technology in base wheel(track wheel system) such as hub with outer seals that improve its durability. The proposed snow mobility vehicle is consist of many sophisticated-designed systems such as navigation system, obstacle detection system, communication system, temperature sensing system. Snowmobii 2.0 is easy to get command and enable significant reduction in losses of many solder’s precious lives due to unavailability of food and medicines at that place.
The positioning of the sensors on vehicle will play a critical role in autonomous cars, it improves the performance of overall system by all the means and make it cost effective by reducing a total system cost. This paper contributes in deciding the best position of camera location on the vehicle with complete geometric and system calculation based on the maximum speed of vehicle, hardware processing speed, camera parameters, actuation and control time, Blind spot detections, maximum Height of objects, etc. The paper presents the technologies and datasets used for lane lines and other object detections. It focusses on newly proposed technique and its calculations to decide the best location of monocular camera sensor on the vehicle by considering all other parameters of autonomous vehicle system. It enhances the performance of overall system as well as reduces the system cost which takes us closer to the futuristic dream of efficient and low-cost autonomous vehicle.

Data acquisition of key performance parameters during field validation in different application/different countries is of utmost importance.

As per cable standard, DIN 72551 or ISO 6722, copper conductors being used in stranded wires against cable cross-section & corresponding weight. While going complete wire-less requires each component to have its own battery, ground, transmitter & receiver which indeed is a very costly affair to be employed in vehicle as huge development cost is required. Here I'm suggesting an innovative method to make a vehicle apparently Wire-Less by creating local clusters connected to each other via conventional wiring harness & wire-less module. Such method will apparently give a look of Wire-less vehicle itself & better advantages in terms of installation, service, troubleshooting, uptime & customer delight. Moreover, direct benefits of Cost, Weight, FE will also be achieved.
Head injuries are the main source of road fatalities in when a pedestrian is involved in an accident with the vehicle. The frontal part of vehicle such as engine hood, lower-windshield area and A-pillars are the possible location of head impact in such accidents. The head impact with hard points located in these areas result in the fatal head injuries. The effect of impact can be reduced by using the deployable pedestrian protection systems (DPPS) such as hood-lifters and windshield airbag in the vehicle. The study shows how these systems are effective in reducing the fatalities in pedestrian accidents and how to evaluate the performance of these deployable systems.
In this paper, mold in color diamond white ASA material has been explored for front bumper grill, fender arch extension and hinge cover applications. Other than aesthetic requirements, these parts have precise fitment requirement under sun load condition in real world usage profile. Structural durability of the design was validated by virtual engineering. Part design and material combinations with better tooling design iterations were analysed by using mold flow analysis. Complete product performances were validated for predefined key test metrics such as structural durability, thermal aging, cold impact, scratch resistance, and weathering criteria. This part met required specification. This mold in color ASA material-based parts has various benefits such as environmentally friendly manufacturing by eliminating environmental issues of coating, easily recycled, and faster part production because intended color achieved in one step during molding.

Due to the increase in the number of features, the overall weight of power distribution unit increases and thereby affecting the overall system cost and fuel economy. The scope of this document is to scale down the weight and space of the power distribution unit without compromising with the current performance. Methodology Miniaturization involves replacing the mini fuses and J-case fuses with LP mini and LP J-case fuses respectively. The transition doesn’t involve any tooling modification and hence saves the tooling cost.
Objective This paper explores the usage of Altair simulation driven optimisation process, Front Suspension hard points of a sedan Car model are optimised for specific target toe curves using MotionView, MotionSolve and HyperStudy This process gives the optimal hard point values to match the target curves without much iterations. Methodology Parametric Multibody model of the front end of sedan is built in MotionView. To Carry out optimisation HyperStudy is used where few of the suspension hard points which affect the toe curves are chosen as design variable. For the chosen Design variables upper and lower bound limits are specified. Ride, Roll and lateral force tests are performed. Optimisation is performed using HyperStudy where it iterates the suspension hard points to match the target toe curves. Each iteration response can be visualized in HyperStudy and can be compared with the target toe curve.

This paper deals with characterization of ultrasonic transducers for automotive proximity-based sense application. Characterization of ultrasonic transducer is important to achieve optimum performance and functionality of overall system. The objectives of this work is to characterize the ultrasonic transducer for different vehicle environment and sensor parameters. The vehicle environment such as chassis, bumper and sensor mounting location and sensor parameters such as transducer gain, transducer operating frequency, transducer driver threshold has significant effect on the proximity sensor -ultrasonic transducer sensitivity performance.
To control air pollution in urban areas and to reduce carbon print in the cities, nowadays EV’s are preferred over IC engine vehicles. Earlier Electric vehicles used DC motor and Induction motors. But Brushless Permanent Magnet motors are preferred over Induction motor for EV’s due to their High Torque density, high-power density and highly efficiency. Prevalent Electric vehicles today have Brushless DC motors. Compared to BLDC, PMSM motor have smoother control and negligible torque ripplesThus, PMSM motor is preferred over BLDC for Electric Vehicle, because of its sinusoidal back emf which results in smoother control, and results into smoother and more comfortable driving experience to users. Methodology Sensor based field-oriented control (FOC) is implemented in 48 V 5kW Interior PMSM motor. . To start the Synchronous motor initial position of the rotor magnetic field should be known.
Battery operated vehicle need accurate management system because of its quick changes in State of charge (SOC) due to aggressive acceleration profiles and regenerative braking. Li-ion battery needs control over its operating area for its safe working. So, the main objective of the proposed system is to develop a BMS having algorithms to estimate accurate SOC, predict degradation parameters, balance individual cells, manage cell temperature, and provide safe area of operation defined by voltage and temperature. Proposed methodology uses Model-based Design approach wherein nonlinear behavior of battery is modeled as Equivalent Circuit Model to compute the SOC and degradation effect on battery to decide the end of life of battery, also performing inductive Active balancing on cells to equalize the charge. proposed algorithms communicate with the vehicle ECU through CAN to assist the driver for runtime estimation, time for battery swapping, Alerts.
The automobile industry is moving towards electrification of Vehicle to remove the exhaust gas emissions. A project was undertaken to develop Electric Vehicle control system from concept to vehicle trials in less than a year. The complete development cycle of an electronic controller required to be compressed to prepare mule electric vehicle within timeline. Agile methodology has been used for this project instead of waterfall as other control systems were in developing stage; system requirements were changing frequently. This paper presents the electric vehicle control unit development with agile methodology using model based development (MBD) in MATLAB and Simulink environment. The project flow consists of major phases like design of electrical architecture, system requirements specification, selection and setting up the simulation platform, EVCU strategy development, testing on Model in Loop (MIL)/ Hardware in Loop (HIL), vehicle trials.
Nowadays, Road Load Simulators are used by automobile companies to reproduce the accurate and multi axial stresses in test parts to simulate the real loading conditions. The road conditions are simulated in lab by measuring the customer usage data by sensors like Wheel Force transducers, accelerometers, displacement sensors and strain gauges on the vehicle body and suspension parts. The acquired data is simulated in lab condition by generating ‘drive file’ using the response of the above mentioned sensors. For generation of proper drive file, not only good FRF but ensuring stability of inverse FRF is also essential. Stability of the inverse FRF depends upon the simulation channels used. In this paper, an experimental approach was applied for focused failure simulation of engine mount, one of such low correlation zone, with known history of failure.
