Under complex and extreme operating conditions, road surface adhesion coefficient is an important state parameter for tire force analysis and vehicle dynamics control. Compared to model-based estimation methods, intelligent tire technology can provide feedback on tire-road interaction information to the vehicle control system. This paper proposes a method that combines intelligent tire systems with machine learning for obtaining road surface adhesion coefficients for vehicles.Firstly, sensor selection is considered based on driving conditions, and a smart tire hardware acquisition system is developed using MEMS three-axis acceleration sensors. A wireless transmission mode with a simplified hardware structure is employed. Secondly, different operating conditions are selected, and real vehicle test data on various road surfaces are collected to create a machine learning training dataset.
