Tolerances Nickel, Nickel Alloy, and Cobalt Alloy Bars, Rods, and Wire

2019-05-10
CURRENT
AMS2261L
This specification covers established manufacturing tolerances applicable to bars, rods, and wire of nickel, nickel alloy, and cobalt alloys ordered to inch-pound dimensions. These tolerances apply to all conditions, unless otherwise noted. The term "excl" is used to apply only to the higher figure of a specified range.

Elevated Temperature Tensile Properties of Castings

2019-04-15
CURRENT
AMS2361E
This specification establishes a procedure for designating minimum elevated temperature tensile property requirements of castings by means of this AMS number and a series of dash numbers.

Steel, Corrosion and Heat-Resistant, Welding Wire 20Cr - 10Ni - 0.75Cb, High Ferrite Grade

2019-03-28
WIP
AMS5790E
This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant steel in the form of welding wire. This wire has been used typically as bare wire filler metal for gas-tungsten-arc or gas-metal-arc welding of corrosion and heat resistant alloys of similar composition, but usage is not limited to such applications. The relatively high ferrite content promotes weldability by combating microfissuring and minimizing cracking in heavy sections but limits use of the wire to applications not operating in the sigma-forming temperature range, approximately 1100 to 1600 degrees F (590 to 870 degrees C).

Tungsten Carbide-Cobalt Powder, Cast and Crushed

2019-03-28
WIP
AMS7879G
This specification covers tungsten carbide-cobalt in the form of powder. This powder has been used typically for producing plasma spray coatings to provide wear and fretting resistant surfaces, but usage is not limited to such applications.
