AS13100 RM13003 Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Requirements for Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality

AAS13100 stipulates requirements to establish an acceptable measurement system for use on aerospace engines parts and assemblies. Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) is used to evaluate and improve measurement systems in the workplace because it evaluates the test method, measuring instruments, and the process of acquiring measurements. The Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Strategy Group published RM13003 to define the minimum requirements and acceptance limits for conducting MSA for variable attribute assessment on characteristics as defined on the drawing specification.

AS13100 and RM13004 Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Control Plans

In the Aerospace Industry there is a focus on Defect Prevention to ensure that quality goals are met. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plan activities are recognized as being one of the most effective, on the journey to Zero Defects. This two-day course is designed to explain the core tools of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans as described in AS13100 and RM13004. It will show the links to other quality tools such as Characteristics Matrix and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

This seminar is offered in China only and presented in Mandarin Chinese. The course materials are bilingual (English and Chinese). This seminar will introduce the latest version (2019) of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Handbook with a focus on DFMEA and PFMEA building. Each column of the FMEA document will also be explained in detail with FMEA examples. The seminar also includes an introduction to the logic for identifying technical risks and thinking tools for risk mitigation.

AS9145 Requirements for Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval

Production and continual improvement of safe and reliable products is key in the aviation, space and defense industries. Customer and regulatory requirements must not only be met, but they are typically expected to exceeded requirements. Due to globalization, the supply chain of this industry has been expanded to countries which were not part of it in the past and has complicated the achievement of requirements compliance and customer satisfaction. The IAQG has established and deployed the AS9145 Standard, as a step to help achieve these objectives.

Advanced Vehicle Dynamics for Passenger Cars and Light Trucks

This interactive seminar will take you beyond the basics of passenger car and light truck vehicle dynamics by applying advanced theory, physical tests and CAE to the assessment of ride, braking, steering and handling performance. Governing state-space equations with transfer functions for primary ride and open loop handling will be developed & analyzed. Building on the analysis of the state space equations, common physical tests and their corresponding CAE solutions for steady state and transient vehicle events will be presented. The "state-of-the-art" of vehicle dynamics CAE will be discussed.

Accelerated Test Methods for Ground and Aerospace Vehicle Development

Engineers and managers involved with product development are constantly challenged to reduce time to market, minimize warranty costs, and increase product quality. With less and less time for testing, the need for effective accelerated test procedures has never been greater. This course covers the benefits, limitations, processes, and applications of several proven accelerated test methods including accelerated reliability, step stress, FSLT (Full System Life Test), FMVT® (Failure Mode Verification Testing), HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing), and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening).

Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis

Problems arise in all facets of life. This is particularly true in the business world. Problems impact all aspects of an organization’s operations such as; product development, product quality, process efficiency, marketing efforts, human relations, leadership efforts, financial execution and ultimate profitability. If these problems are not addressed, they inhibit the operation of the business and can eventually result in total failure. The ways in which problems are addressed, and the methodologies employed, determine the probability of successful problem resolution.

Tire Forensic Analysis

This course provides a detailed description of tire failure modes, their potential causes, identification, and the sometimes-subtle nuances that go along with determination of tire failure. In addition, proper inspection techniques of tires will be discussed and samples will be available to reinforce the concepts learned. The course is helpful for investigators and individuals who need to  explore and explain tire failures and point out the failure contributing factors. The course will help to clarify failure root cause between tire production process deviation, tire design, and service application.

System Engineering and Strategic Program Management for the Aviation Industry

This seminar is offered in China only and presented in Mandarin Chinese. The course materials are bilingual (English and Chinese).   The course directly addresses improved aircraft system design tools and processes, which, when implemented will significantly contribute to simpler, lower cost and even safer airplanes that meet customer quality demands. Adding value to the high-leveraged area of Design (Reducing design by involving manufacturing) — which is what this course does — can start to reverse the current trend (overrun and long delay) and help Aircraft companies be more profitable.
