This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant nickel alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and plate procured in SI (metric) units. AMS 5598 is the equivalent, specified in inch/pound units, of this MAM.
In this presentation, we will explain how the traditional Miller Cycle - which has its limitations in the traditional four-stroke, Otto Cycle engine provides new opportunities for greater fuel efficiency gains and engine downsizing when incorporated in a split-cycle combustion process. Results will also be shared from studies showing how these implementations can provide both significant drops in fuel consumption and increases in power when incorporated into some of today's most economic vehicles. The 14 papers in this technical paper collection discuss high efficiency IC engines. Topics covered include engine downsizing, pressure boosting and turbocharging, intelligent combustion, low temperature and stratified charge, advanced fuel injection technologies, and more. The 15 papers in this technical paper collection discuss high efficiency IC engines. Topics covered include engine downsizing, pressure boosting and turbocharging, intelligent combustion, low temperature and stratified charge, advanced fuel injection technologies, and more.
The 8 technical papers in this collection feature CI combustion technologies distinguished by 1) mixing processes that influence combustion; and 2) combustion phasing closely coupled to the timing of fuel injection. This includes the impact of the fuel injection and jet-mixing processes; impact of swirl/spray targeting on mixing processes; combustion chamber/engine geometry optimization; sources of combustion inefficiency; and the impact of operating conditions.
The 9 technical papers in this technical paper collection cover topics regarding new CI and SI engines and components. This includes analytical, experimental, and computational studies covering hardware development as well as design and analysis techniques.
This technical paper collection covers the Power Cylinder: piston, piston rings, piston pins, and connecting rods. The papers include information on reducing friction and increasing fuel economy, improving durability by understanding wear, and decreasing oil consumption and blow-by.
The papers in this collection cover conceptual, modeling, and experimental studies relating to advanced turbochargers/superchargers and advanced boosting systems to achieve increased power density, better fuel economy, and reduced emissions.
