IMPULSE TESTING OF HYDRAULIC HOSE ASSEMBLIES, TUBING, AND FITTINGS

1979-08-01
HISTORICAL
ARP603E
This Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) establishes the requirements and the procedures for impulse testing of hose assemblies, tubing, and fittings for use in aerospace hydraulic systems of 4000 psi nominal operating pressure or less. It also refers to standard impulse test equipment to be used in conducting these impulse tests.

Standardization, Hydraulic Tube Walls

2013-01-07
CURRENT
AS4467
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) defines a series of standardized tube walls to be used for high pressure hydraulic tubing. These tube walls are applicable to all homogenous tube materials (i.e., aluminum, steel, titanium) throughout a rated pressure range of 1000 to 8000 psi and a maximum rated operating temperature range of 160 to 450 °F. All future aerospace applications for which a required tube outside diameter/tube wall combination is not presently available shall be selected from the table contained herein (see Figure 1).

PERMISSIBLE DENT AND CHAFING DAMAGE OF AIRCRAFT HYDRAULIC TUBING

1975-07-01
HISTORICAL
AIR1388
This AIR is intended to assist in evaluating the serviceability of damaged hydraulic tubing lines. The performance requirements are outlined to which the defect samples were tested. Test methods and data are described and summarized to assist in further work toward establishing limits for defects in aircraft hydraulic tubing. Permissible defect limits are listed for 6061T6 aluminum return lines, 3000-psi hydraulic tubing of 21Cr-6Ni-9Mn as well as 304 1/8 hard corrosion resistant steel (CRES), and 3Al-2.5V cold-worked (CW) titanium.
