Safety Assurance Trailers for SAE J1939-22 C-PGs

2022-02-25
WIP
J1939-77
This document specifies the technical requirements for several different trailers that may be incorporated into J1939-22 C-PG payloads to provide safety assurance data. Proper use of these trailers is suitable for meeting applicable functional safety standards for a given industry. This document provides enough details for trailers that another document (likely SAE J1939-22) can incorporate these details into specific trailer formats. Accordingly, this document does not define the Type of Service (TOS) or Trailer Format (TF) values to use for these trailers, nor does it define the position of these trailers relative to other trailers that provide security assurance data.

Air Filter Element Test Method

2019-07-03
HISTORICAL
J1533_201907
This SAE test method establishes a uniform test procedure for determining the gravimetric (mass based) efficiency and pressure drop performance levels of operator enclosure panel type filters on off-road, self-propelled work machines used in earth moving, and forestry, as defined in SAE J1116 and for agricultural equipment as defined in ANSI/ASAE S390, and equipped with an operator enclosure with a powered fresh air system. ISO/TS 11155-1 may additionally be used, which describes the use of particle sizing devices to measure the fractional (particle size) efficiency of panel type filters for automotive cabin filter applications. Automotive cabin filters are similar to filters described in this procedure, and the ISO/TS 11155-1 test method is therefore directly applicable.

General Environmental Considerations for Marine Vehicles

2014-02-04
WIP
J1777
This Hydrospace Information Report (HIR) identifies the general environmental considerations for the design, development, evaluation, and testing of advanced surface craft, submersible vehicles, and other marine craft. This HIR provides criteria on the environmental limits within which marine vehicles, related components, and associated equipment should operate satisfactorily and reliably. This HIR is intended for use as a guide for the development of specific environmental requirements to be included in detailed specifications for marine vehicles and associated equipment. Specific requirements are in a state of continual change as our knowledge of the ocean environment increases. The ocean environment varies with location and time. Changes in the ocean environment can occur not only on a seasonal basis but also monthly, weekly, daily, and in some cases even hourly.
