Auxiliary Power Systems for Aerial Devices

1982-02-01
820119
The options for powering aerial lift devices are multiple. The choice of the most appropriate and economic configuration of truck engine and lift power supply is dependent on the type of work assignment the vehicle is used for and on the power supply combination. Power sources can be gasoline, diesel, propane and electric. Typical unit work assignments are service/trouble, line service/maintenance, line construction/material handling, and tree trimming.
