The purpose of this test is to determine the maximum capacity of a crane to counterbalance loads applied on its hook block. The capacity of the crane is reported in terms of the load in kilograms (pounds) and its corresponding radius in meters (feet) for a specified position of the upperstructure with respect to the mounting.
