A guide to maintenance procedures in test cells. A suggested equipment monitoring and/or inspections to reduce the probability of unanticipated failures and associated test cell down time. Guidelines for using typically available data acquisition capabilities in a test cell are provided to utilize normally available trending capability to monitor the testing equipment in addition to using these tools for the usual monitoring of the test article. For the common types of test cells (turboshaft, turboprop, turbojet, and turbofan) test facilities, lists of typical systems with their associated components are provided with suggested inspection intervals and key items to look for in the inspection. A template risk assessment form is provided to facilitate the customization of the assessment of the test cell components to help predict recommended spares.

The CDIF Family of Standards is primarily designed to be used as a description of a mechanism for transferring information between CASE tools. It facilitates a successful transfer when the authors of the importing and exporting tools have nothing in common except an agreement to conform to CDIF. The language that is defined for the Transfer Format also has applicability as a general language for Import/Export from repositories. The CDIF Integrated Meta-model defined for CASE also has applicability as the basis of standard definitions for use in repositories. The standards which form the complete family of CDIF Standards are documented in EIA/IS-106 CDIF - CASE Data Interchange Format - Overview. These standards cover the overall framework, the transfer format and the CDIF Integrated Meta-model. The diagram in Figure 1 depicts the various standards that comprise the CDIF Family of Standards. The shaded box depicts this Standard and its position in the CDIF Family of Standards.

ARINC Specification 628, Cabin Equipment Interfaces (CEI) Part 6 Fiber Optic Cable Assembly General Specification, defines the minimum acceptable provisions for connectorized fiber optic cable assemblies used in permanently installed airframe wire bundles that are part of ARINC 628 supported systems. The intent is for the cable assembly supplier to use this specification as a guideline to provide the prospective IFE contractor with cable assemblies that have adequate quality and performance for the intended application. These assemblies are suitable for cabin systems applications only. Applicable guidelines not found in this specification may be found in Section 9 of ARINC Specification 628 Part 4A.
