HISTORICAL
AS6116
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the requirements for externally swaged aluminum tube fittings on aluminum tubing with flareless separable fitting ends for use in hydraulic supply and return aerospace fluid systems including pneumatic, coolants, and fire extinguishers up to a maximum operating pressure of 1500 psig (10 340 kPa) and a maximum operating temperature range of −65 to +225 °F (−54 to +107 °C). This specification covers a common aluminum fitting that may be used for a range of operating pressures up to 1500 psi with different tubing materials and tubing wall thicknesses, and is assembled with the same tooling in accordance with AS6124. Table 12 shows applicable aerospace fitting part number standard and tubing materials and operating pressures.

HISTORICAL
AS1650
This document defines the requirements for a threadless, flexible, self-bonding coupling assembly, which, when installed on machined fixed cavity ferrules, provides a flexible connection for joining tubing and components in aircraft fuel, vent, or other systems. This assembled coupling, hereafter referred to as the assembly, is designed for use from -65 to 400 °F and at 125 psi operating pressure.

Compatibility of PTFE Hose Assemblies With Typical Fluids Found in Aerospace Applications

2004-11-24
CURRENT
AIR5693
The scope of this document is limited to the compatibility of typical fluids that may come in contact with PTFE hose assemblies. PTFE hose assemblies may be braided with CRES wire, polyester or para-aramid fibers. Hose assemblies may be equipped with aluminum, CRES, titanium or nickel alloy fittings; and with fire resistant cover materials. All of these constituent materials of PTFE hose assemblies must be compatible with all of the fluids found in any particular application.

This assembled coupling, hereafter referred to as the assembly, and is designed for use from −65 to +400 °F and at 125 psig nominal operating pressure. AS1650 was not designed for the new certification requirements for flammable leakage zones and fuel tanks for lightning protection and assembly redundancy. As such their use and installation may require additional efforts and equipment to support new FAA CFR compliance. The AS7510 flexible coupling should be the preferred coupling for use in flammable leakage zones and fuel tanks that require service life and functionality for lightning protection and part redundancy.
