As the leading power of road traffic and the main source of carbon emissions in the transportation sector, internal combustion engines are facing arduous challenges and important opportunities under the background of carbon neutral transition. Biodiesel produced from biomass as raw materials and zero-carbon fuel ammonia can be used as alternative fuels to achieve clean combustion of internal combustion engines. Ammonia-biodiesel dual-fuel combustion can not only effectively achieve carbon reduction in internal combustion engines, but also achieve good combustion performance, and has a good application prospect. Based on an ammonia-biodiesel dual fuel engine modified from a heavy-duty diesel engine, the effects of the adjustment of two-stage injection strategies on the combustion emission characteristics of ammonia-biodiesel dual fuel are investigated in this paper.
