Addressing Automotive Cyber Security Compliance Challenges with Innovation
The recently approved UNR 155 (WP.29) regulation on vehicle cyber security presents a broad range of requirements for OEMs and Tier 1s. Although many of these requirements are straight forward, several are likely to pose a challenge. This presentation will highlight some key challenges posed by UNR 155 and discuss innovative ways in which OEMs and their suppliers can address them.
The automotive industry is one of the most active industries in the emerging API economy. From connected cars, to in-car experiences to mobility services, modern cars rely heavily on the use of APIs to improve performance, analytics, and safety. In this presentation, we will discuss why APIs are vulnerable to functional attacks targeting the API business logic, the possible implications, and what can automotive players do to open up - without compromising on security.
