SAE A World In Motion® Wins Prestigious SIIA CODiE Award 2021

The mission of the A World In Motion® (AWIM®) PreK-8 STEM program to engage students with hands-on learning that forges a path of lifelong learning and discovery was further affirmed as the SIIA CODiE 2021 Awards named AWIM the "Best Foundational Technology/ Engineering (STEM) Instructional Solution." 

One of the most prestigious education technology awards in the industry, the SIIA CODiE Awards is the only peer-reviewed program to showcase business and education technology's finest products and services. AWIM was recognized as one of 45 winners across the 43 education technology categories, including three new categories developed in response to COVID-19.

Recognizing that the CODiE Award is a testament to the students, teachers and industry volunteers who make AWIM programming possible in communities around the globe, Chris Ciuca, vice president of programs, noted: “We believe it’s never too early for young learners to start exploring STEM concepts and have tailored the AWIM curriculum to engage and excite students as early as preschool through play and discovery as we build STEM fluency.” 

Starting with the youngest learners, AWIM brings STEM concepts to life in and out of the classroom through 18 STEM Challenges that span PreK through eighth grade. The hands-on curriculum combines practical, experiential learning with mentorship from industry volunteers and ongoing training and support for educators. To date, SAE's AWIM programs have reached more than 6 million students globally.

A Year of Honors

The CODiE Award comes on the heels of AWIM being named a finalist by the EdTech Cool Tools Awards in the “Best Skills (21st Century Skills) Solution” and “Best STEM Solution” categories, and the SAE STEM@HomeTM program winning  in the category of ““Best Parent/Student Solution.”
