The global leader in technical learning for the mobility industry, SAE International is supporting the growth of thousands of engineering, technical, and business professionals worldwide by offering a dynamic portfolio of professional development training programs. Developed and taught by more than 150 instructors from industry and academia, the programs address key technical drivers, technologies, regulations, and business/management topics across the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries.

SAE International’s professional development courses address a broad spectrum of topic areas ranging from powertrain fundamentals and basic engineering management principles to more forward-looking subjects such as electric vehicles. Each course is available in one of three different learning formats: SAE Seminars (instructor-led courses hosted in various cities), SAE Web Seminars (instructor-led web seminars conducted in a series of live, online sessions), and SAE On-Demand Courses (online courses that may be accessed by participants at their convenience). All courses and formats are specifically designed to help individuals advance their career development and offer opportunities to earn a variety of continuing education credits, certificates, and credentials.

SAE Seminars and Web Seminars are approved for IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and, for professional engineers, Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Certain seminars and web seminars are also approved for Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Each SAE-produced On-Demand Course offers a complete training package, including resources and job aids for further reference, as well as an online learning assessment to gauge progress. Participants can receive IACET CEUs and an SAE certificate upon successful course completion. Courses from SAE’s network of training partners, carefully reviewed for quality assurance, are also available through SAE’s On-Demand library.
