Subir Chowdhury Medal of Quality Leadership

The Subir Chowdhury SAE Medal of Quality Leadership was established in 2010 to recognize those in the mobility industry who bring forth such innovation and broaden the impact of "quality" in mobility engineering, design and manufacture.  

Criteria:

  1. Nominees may be leaders in academia or industry, of recognized ability, who have contributed their substantial skills and talent to accomplish the goal of advancing and promoting the principles and application of "quality" in Mobility Engineering.

Recognition:

  • The award includes a framed medal and honorarium presented at the SAE Awards Ceremony during the WCX™ World Congress Experience.

Award Background:

Dr. Subir Chowdhury is an SAE Fellow and a past recipient of the SAE Henry Ford II Distinguished Award for Excellence in Automotive Engineering. His work has benefited and profoundly affected product/process and system design, time to market, cost reductions, quality improvements, manufacturing, and workforce knowledge in many U.S. industries and to Society at large.
