Methods for Executing Gas Turbine Engine Performance Programs to Generate Envelope Performance for Customers
This is an initial release of an Aerospace Information Report to provide methods for Engine Suppliers to follow to execute their in house performance models to generate datasets that are provided to airframe customers early in the conceptual design phase of an aircraft program. This AIR provides some general guidance for execution order and input settings to be used to execute the model.
Rationale: Engine Suppliers may initially only provide to their customers, output performance datasets to represent their engine configuration based off conceptual or in-house parametric design tools to support airframe customers in proposal or the earliest phases of a program. These tend to be provided in a hurry leaving out critical parameters or missing data for important parts of the envelope. This AIR has been developed to provide methods and rules of execution of the datasets to provide airframe customers a reasonable data set for aircraft performance estimations.
