This SAE Aerospace Informational Report (AIR) provides information on when a modification to a steel brake is considered a minor change and how a minor change would often be verified. This document is intended to give information in support of the verification of steel friction mix minor changes for Part 23, 25, 27 & 29 aircraft wheel braking applications by TSO or PMA holders. Information included herein was partially derived from previous steel friction mix minor and major change classifications.
