1. SCOPE: 1.1 Purpose: This specification covers the engineering requirements for production of brazed joints in parts made of iron, nickel, and cobalt base alloys by use of silver alloys and the properties of such joints. 1.2 Application: Primarily for use where joints having high strength up to 800 F (427 C) are required.This specification covers a premium aircraft-quality corrosion-resistant steel in the form of bars, wire, forgings, mechanical tubing, flash welded rings, and stock for forging, flash welded rings, or heading.
