Steel, Corrosion Resistant, Investment Castings 16cr 4.1ni 0.28cb 3.2cu Homogenization, Solution and Precipitation Heat Treated 180 Ksi (1241 Mpa) Tensile Strength AMS5344D

This specification covers a corrosion-resistant steel in the form of investment castings.

These castings have been used typically for parts requiring good corrosion resistance and strength up to 600 degrees F (316 degrees C), but usage is not limited to such applications.

Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these castings to become subject to stress-corrosion cracking. APR1110 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
