Recommendations for EHA Pump and Motor sizing based on considerations for various actuator performance requirements, including no-load speed, breakout torque, low temperature, stiffness, dynamic response, maximum pressure-velocity capability, and other conditions.
Rationale: EHA Pump and Motor sizing criteria require considerations that are unique to the application. EHA Pump duty is fundamentally different from traditional main-engine hydraulic pump applications, and the sizing will be heavily dependent on its duty cycle. Electric motor sizing is intimately dependent on pump sizing and pump efficiency - the pump and motor must be sized as integral entities. There are currently no published guidelines that consider pump and motor as integrated components.
