Rationale: This standard was revised to: update certain design requirements so they apply to all air data computers; add a new equipment designation (type) for installations that require more stringent altitude tolerance requirements; update the environmental test requirements to include those of DO-160G as they apply to air data computers and add some information regarding RVSM installations to increase the awareness of related requirements not covered by this standard. A generally accepted methodology for economically showing compliance to this standard was also included in an appendix.
