Rationale: The rationale for the product is that the current landscape of product, process, and service does not have a standard polymer that is produced, utilized, and returned to the manufacturer (in a pure circular model) outside of the current market processes. The CPS will aim to provide supply chain professionals with an off the shelf standards, which they can use to implement and embody in their decision-making process if they wish to work towards or achieve circularity. The CPS would allow the procurement professional to avoid the need for researching the product and, therefore, enable the professional to qualify, quantify, and assess the viability of the product.
