This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of forgings and bars up to 4.0 inches (101.6 mm) thickness and forging stock of any size.
Rationale: These products have been used typically for rotating parts such turbine discs, blades, spacers, shafts, casings, bolts and fasteners requiring high strength up to 1472°F (800°C) and oxidation resistance up to 1800°F (982°C) but usage is not limited to such applications.
