Identify and document standards, regulations and recommendations addressing challenges related to AI implementation to ground vehicles and transportation infrastructure.
Rationale: Given the rapid interest in AI and deployment of AI solutions, it is important to develop good understanding of the key regulations, industry standards and the technical challenges relevant to AI technology applications to light and heavy ground vehicles and transportation infrastructure for safe, secure, and efficient operation.
As such, list of international regulations from United Nations, European Commission and United States and industry standards from ISO/IEC, SAE and IEEE are identified and categorized for the safe, secure, and efficient operation of ground vehicles and transportation infrastructure. In addition, list of key challenges pertaining to the implementation of AI Life Cycle are documented with potential recommendations to address these challenges based on the listed regulations and standards as applicable and general accepted engineering practices
