Rationale: Combine the turn signal requirements from SAE J2261 Stop Lamps and Front- and Rear-Turn Signal Lamps for Use on Motor Vehicles 2032 mm or More in Overall Width into SAE J588. The intent is to cancel SAE J2261, since there isn't a need for 2 documents to exist with virtually the same requirements for vehicles over and under 2032mm in overall width.
Improve the current requirements for evaluating and judging the appearance of a sequential turn signal's path while retaining the ability of a tall thin turn signal to activate / deactivate sequentially.
