Heat Treatment Nickel Alloy and Cobalt Alloy Parts
AMS2774F
This specification specifies the engineering requirements for heat treatment, by part fabricators (users) or subcontractors, of parts made of wrought or additively manufactured nickel or cobalt alloys, of raw materials during fabrication, and of fabricated assemblies in which wrought nickel or cobalt alloys are the primary structural components.
Rationale:
AMS2774F results from a Five-Year Review and update of this specification with changes to the Title, Purpose (1.1), vacuum furnaces (3.1.2.2), Cooling (3.1.4.1), Cleaning (3.2.1.1), Control Instruments (3.2.3), Cycle Interruptions (3.2.4.4), Rework (3.2.4.5), and Lot (8.4.3). Changes were also made to: Table 3 for Inconel Alloy 625, and Note 21); Table 4 for Waspaloy, Inconel Alloy 706, Inconel Alloy 718, ATI 718Plus Alloy, Inconel Alloy 722, Inconel Alloy X750, and Note 27; Table 6 for Note 1; Table 9 for Inconel 625, and ATI 718Plus Alloy; Appendix A for AMS5441, and AMS7000.
