This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the minimum design and performance requirements for galleys to be certified and installed in transport category airplanes.
Rationale:
AS1426 was cancelled in 2012 and has been substantially revised in 2021.
AS1426 Revision C was a complete rewrite of AS1426B. Revision B did not adequately define or present galley design requirements for the galley designer to follow. Improved descriptions were provided to almost every section of the previous revision. Revision C is now satisfactory in informing a new galley supplier of the industry wide requirements and is now relevant.
