Connect2Car™ at WCX

April 10-12, 2018 │ Detroit, MI, USA

WCX Connected Vehicle Challenge 2018

The entries are in. Get ready for the Connected Vehicle Challenge taking place at SAE’s Connect2Car at WCX. Watch the most innovative ideas come alive on the Connect2Car Stage.

Submission will now turn into defined plans of progress and innovation for possible future enterprises. Be a part of history as we embark on a creative way of supporting new ideas with the first ever Connect Vehicle Challenge.

Who are the players? The finalists are from all around the world. They are all different ages and from different disciplines. Every culture has its own spin on what is important. The ideas are data driven, take into consideration all kinds of technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, human factors, development of sensors, integration of systems, and a few things that truly amazed the IoT Committee.

The five finalists will have only 20 minutes each on stage to impress the judges with their creative idea. For those who cannot attend in person, they will be given the opportunity to send a short video and answer the judges’ questions over the phone.

At the end of the competition, the judges will announce the three winners and award them cash prizes donated by the Challenge’s sponsors:

  • First Place: $10,000
  • Second Place: $5,000
  • Third Place: $3,000

When: Thursday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m.

Where: Cobo Hall, Room 260.
