Rammer engine

The GXR120 general-purpose engine from Honda was designed as a source of power for rammers, or for equipment used to compact soil or other granular material. Offered as a second power option to the GX100 engine, the GXR120 improves durability and reliability for heavy-duty applications. The GXR120 features a displacement of 121 cc and meets rammer-required demands for engine, frame, and operator. The engine can power a 110- to 175-lb (50- to 80-kg) rammer at multiple altitudes. A cast-iron cylinder sleeve and carbon-steel, dual-ball bearing crankshaft improve engine strength, while the recoil starter and fan cover also use robust steel to enhance engine durability. An overhead camshaft orientation enables a maintenance-free, low-noise timing belt to create a smaller, lighter, and quieter engine with a compact muffler.
