Soft-Switching Inverter Loss Calculation Method Considering Instantaneous Current 2018-01-0453

Currently, it is generally considered that all the electronic components produce a loss at the same time in one PWM carrier cycle in the analysis of soft-switching inverter loss. But in practice due to the effect of PWM and phase current state and IGBT switching state of inverter bridges, the losses of inverter electronic components are not produced simultaneously, and the loss values of components are different. According to the soft-switching inverter working principle, soft-switching inverter is divided into PWM inverter voltage control circuit and resonant control circuit, and aiming at different working characteristics of the two parts, a soft-switching inverter loss calculation method considering instantaneous current state is proposed. The results show that, compared with the traditional soft-switching inverter loss calculation method, the computational accuracy of soft-switching inverter loss is improved by the proposed calculation method; The soft-switching inverter loss is obviously effected by the current states of voltage control circuit and resonant control circuit; The calculation accuracy of soft-switching inverter is effectively improved by considering the voltage and current characteristics of IGBT and diode; The voltage and current characteristics of PWM voltage control circuit and resonant control circuit should be considered in the loss calculation of soft-switching inverter.
