Controller Area Network for Truck and Bus Applications 902211
Because of the increasing use of electronic controls there is a growing need for data communications in trucks and busses. Examples of data that need to be exchanged serve to illustrate the most important requirements. A comparison of bus topologies shows why a linear bus structure is a good choice. The bus arbitration procedure and the error treatment are used to provide more insight into important features of the protocol. First application projects prove that hardware and software meet the requirements of the truck and bus industry.
