Worldwide On-Board Diagnostic Requirements Overview

2024-02-28
J3248_202402
This document focuses on the latest in-force regulations. However, in addition to latest information, the report may include historical information. As regulations are superseded, the previous entry will remain to help understand the change in requirements over time. The initial focus of the document includes light-, medium-, and heavy-duty on-road vehicles with all propulsion systems. The document will include information from the United States and Canada, with later publications expanding to other regions. Forecasts for future regulations will not be included in the spreadsheet but be kept in a separate document. The document may be expanded to other types of applications/vehicles as information becomes available.

Plug-In Electrical Vehicle Charge Rate Reporting and Test Procedures

2024-02-28
WIP
J2953/4
This document facilitates clear and consistent comparisons of realistic charging capabilities of passenger vehicles via commercially available EVSE. Common test procedures and metrics are established for both vehicles and EVSE operating without limitations in nominal conditions. This document does not attempt to address performance variations of EV-EVSE interactions outside of nominal conditions such as extreme temperatures, variable SOCs, and so on.

Corrosion Control and Electrical Conductivity in Enclosure Design

2024-02-27
ARP1481B
Corrosion control is always of concern to the designer of electronic enclosures. The use of EMI gaskets to provide shielding often creates requirements that are in conflict with ideal corrosion control. This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) presents a compatibility table (see Figure 1) which has as its objective a listing of metallic couples that are compatible from a corrosion aspect and which still maintain a low contact impedance.

Unmanned Systems (UxS) Control Segment (UCS) Architecture: Architecture Technical Governance

2024-02-27
AS6522B
This Technical Governance is part of the SAE UCS Architecture Library and is primarily concerned with the UCS Architecture Model (AS6518) starting at Revision A and its user extensions. Users of the Model may extend it in accordance with AS6513 to meet the needs of their UCS Products. UCS Products include software components, software configurations and systems that provide or consume UCS services. For further information, refer to AS6513 Revision A or later. Technical Governance is part of the UCS Architecture Framework. This framework governs the UCS views expressed as Packages and Diagrams in the UCS Architecture Model.
