Assembled crankshaft is generally used in single cylinder, small displacement engines. However, to enhance the simulation accuracy for mechanical dynamic analysis of an assembled crankshaft, it is important to make a detailed model including of the rolling bearings, which simulates physical phenomena such as deformation, contact, and damping. In this paper, a rolling bearing model was newly developed, and a simulation of the three-dimensional contacts considering elastic properties was developed, and the analysis accuracy was enabled. By applying this rolling bearing model to the mechanical dynamic analysis of the assembled crankshaft, the correlation between crankshaft displacement and strain during actual engine operation was confirmed. As a result, it was clarified that the rolling bearing model is accurate enough for practical strength evaluation in the design stage of an assembled crankshaft system.
