Electromagnetic Evaluation of FM Antenna on Vehicle Models

2012-10-02
2012-36-0133
By using tridimensional full-wave computer simulations three different scenarios involving antenna placement in an automobile model were analyzed. The electromagnetic impact of the vehicle model complexity was taken into account, as well as the relative position of the antenna on its roof. The simulations were run in a moderate equipped computer, and show a powerful alternative to complement and forecast real laboratory evaluations

Vehicle`s Electrical Circuit Protection Design Through Computational Simulation

2015-09-22
2015-36-0109
Automotive industry requires electrical circuit protection in each program development. The validation process usually requires physical hardware. This paper intends to present that it is possible to apply computational simulation in order to develop and validate new or modified circuits, features, routing and electrical architecture. This paper also describes a very important portion of Short Circuit Protection validation called I2t (method for estimating the fatiguing of a fuse for a given overload current pulse). I2t is very complex to be validated physically since it requires a significant amount of tests and hardware (statistics).
