This SAE Recommended Practice defines a procedure for determining the adhesion strength characteristics of heat-cured metal bonding adhesives subjected to induction heating.
This supplement, which is a living document, is meant to provide both clients and translation suppliers with some suggestions for integrating SAE J2450 into their business practices. It is intended for the use of clients, trainers who wish to develop new evaluators, and those who wish to self-train.

This SAE Information Report provides a comparative summary between the various messages found in the SAE ATIS standards work (notably SAE J2313, J2353, J2354, J2369 and J2374) and that found in the GATS standard (Global Automotive Telematics Standard). GATS is a message set meant to be deployed on mobile phone systems based on the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) phone system which is being deployed in European markets and which the SAE may need to harmonize with as part of the World Standards activities of TC204. This document provides an overview of the various types of supported messages and how they compare with US terms and messages. Some selected features of the GATS work are recommended for assimilation into the next revision of ATIS standards. No attempt at determining a U.S. policy in this regard is provided. This document seeks to provide the reader familiar with SAE ATIS with a high level overview of technical knowledge of the GATS approach in similar areas.

This SAE Standard applies to the usage of tires of the same nominal size and tread type, but with different outside diameter for articulated front-end loaders. Articulated four-wheel-drive front-end loader performance and component life can be affected by excessive differences in the tire outside circumference and/or diameter. The purpose is to provide specific guidelines for the usage of tires with different outside circumference and/or diameter on articulated front-end loaders.

This SAE Information Report is a summary comparison of existing protocols found in manufacturing, automotive, aviation, military, and computer applications which provide background or may be applicable for Class C application. The intent of this report is to present a summary of each protocol, not an evaluation. This is not intended to be a comprehensive review of all applicable protocols. The form for evaluation of a protocol exists in this paper and new protocols can be submitted on this form to the committee for consideration in future revisions of this report. This report contains a table which provides a side-by-side comparison of each protocol considered. The subsequent section provides a more detailed examination of the protocol attributes. Many of the protocols do not specify a method for one or more of the criteria. In these circumstances 'under defined' or 'not specified' will appear under the heading.
This SAE Recommended Practice sets forth a method for evaluating the flow properties of automotive sealers that have been dispensed via a high pressure automatic system.
This SAE Standard provides a definition of a rainflow file format. This type of simple text file would contain all relevant information about the rainflow cycle content of a time history. Included information are Comments, Signal Range, Signal Mean, Number of Cycles, Signal Maximum, Signal Minimum. Rainflow cycle counting has become the most accepted procedure for identifying material fatigue relevant cycles in complex variable amplitude load time histories. The cycle counting methods account for the effects of material plasticity and material memory of prior deformation, and the resulting compressed history information is used by durability analysts to estimate the effects of a given service or test history.

This SAE Recommended Practice is intended to serve as a reference for the amount of torque that a Power Take-Off can induce on the transmission mounting pad. This document will apply to six-bolt, eight-bolt, and rear mounted power take-offs.

This document establishes standard graphical symbols and color conventions for use in either still (static) or animated graphics used for communicating service information. This document’s purpose is to communicate conventions for using those symbols and colors to accurately and consistently communicate intended information via graphics-based documentation. These practices are intended for use in service procedures, assembly instructions, training materials, and similar applications when trying to minimize the amount of human natural language text used within the document. The still and animated graphical conventions referenced should support effective communication via paper and “traditional” electronic media. The conventions can also extend to documenting via additional electronic delivery paradigms such as augmented reality (AR).
