Call For Student Poster Presentations

Eligible Participants: Currently enrolled university student(s) [group or individual], or graduates from within the past 6 months.

NOTE: There is a Registration Fee of $25.00 USD associated with this opportunity. . Do not register online, Brandie Schandelmeier will provide you with a registration form upon acceptance notification. (Registration will include Continental Breakfasts, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Lunch, Receptions, Technical Sessions, Exhibit and Industry Forum Executive Panels and excludes drink tickets.)

Relevant Topics / Areas of Interest: SAE 2014 Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress will be hosting Student Poster Presentations. The purpose of this poster presentation is to explain, instruct, define, clarify, and demonstrate knowledge in one or more of the following topics: Vehicle, Ride, Handling and Dynamics; Efficient Operation; Vehicle Level Control Network; Societal Factors; Safety; and Product Development and Manufacturing.

Submission Requirements:
Students are to submit a 200-word abstract, addressing the following criteria:
  • Objective of your work
  • Process or problem your work is describing or attempting to solve
  • Approach(es) followed and type of data you plan to include in the poster
  • Conclusions reached and any recommendations All abstracts will be reviewed by a poster chair for consideration. Posters are to be academic in nature. They are not to be used for commercialization or promotion of any specific product(s).

Important Dates and Deadlines:
Submission Deadline: September 1, 2014
Acceptance Notification (via email): September 15, 2014
Event & Presentation Dates*: October 7-9, 2014

* Specific details regarding onsite poster location, set-up/dismantle and hours to man your poster will be provided upon acceptance.

Poster Logistics: Student is responsible for printing of their own poster on a sturdy board. SAE will provide a stand or easel for your poster. SAE International aims to facilitate and encourage creativity by allowing you to present your information and research in whatever form you feel is most appropriate: text, graphs, images, etc. However, the following information must be displayed on your poster:
  • Name
  • University / Institution of Study
  • Email Address
