Impact of CVCP Position Error on Air Fuel Ratio Control and Adjustment of the Parameters Calibration 2006-01-1254
A gasoline engine with Continuous Variable Cam Phaser has been considered. An overview of the main functions of the Engine Management System has been given. The catalyst management functions have been accurately described. The impact of CVCP position error on catalyst temperature has been theoretically and experimentally investigated. The experimental results of the analysis have been presented. The necessary corrective actions on the calibration of catalyst management parameters have been explained.
