A Study of the Swirl Stratified Combustion Principle 660092

To further the study of the Witzky Swirl Stratified Combustion Process a special test engine was designed and fabricated to permit high speed movies of the injection-stratification process to be photographed at 16,000 frames/sec through a quartz piston head. Combustion movies were attempted and the engine could be operated at 3550 rpm at full load without damage and with good photographic quality.
