Application of Plastic Fiber Optics to Automobiles 670085
The availability of plastic fiber optics light-energy-transmitting material in long continuous lengths has made possible its use in automotive lighting and remote indicating systems. This paper presents a general history of the program and a discussion of the current applications and future possibilities. Also, the paper outlines some of the benefits to be gained by the use of fiber optics and guides for its application.
