Field Experience with Motorcycle Sidestand Accidents 852236

The motorcycle sidestand is a nearly universal method of allowing a motorcycle rider to park his vehicle unattended easily. This paper presents observations made during the investigation of several motorcycle accidents attributable to the sidestand, over a five year period.
