Aircraft that carry crew and/or passengers must pass one or more icing-related standards for certification. Ice protection systems and components play a crucial role in safe aircraft operation. Such systems are usually installed in wings, nacelle intakes, pitot tubes, stabilizers, and propeller and helicopter rotor blades. These safety-critical systems follow a certification requirement per Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) part 23, 25, 27, 29, and others, for the various types of aircraft and rotorcraft as well as engines.

Beep Inc., an automated vehicle (AV) distributor based in Orlando, Florida, is partnering with Bestmile SA – a developer of fleet orchestration software. Through the collaboration, Beep will use Bestmile’s software to manage and monitor autonomous shuttle fleets that it sells to fleet owners who operate in low speed environments across the public and private sector.
Four companies – Blue Origin, Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, SpaceX, and United Launch Alliance (ULA) – recently submitted proposals for the U.S. Air Force's Phase 2 Launch Services Procurement (LSP) competition. Two of those companies will be awarded with up to 34 launches over a five-year period under the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program.
