This Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the minimum requirements for the quality assurance program of a distributor of factory new material and excess inventory, assembled, altered, new, used, remanufactured, repaired, rebuilt or overhauled parts and materials. It is applicable to the distributor who procures parts and materials, assembles higher level components/assemblies from parts or kits, or performs or contracts for the alteration, assembly, modification, remanufacture, repair, rebuilding or overhaul of products and resells them to customers or other distributors (i.e., a VALUE ADDED DISTRIBUTOR). NADCAP accreditation is granted in accordance with SAE AS7003 after demonstrating compliance with the requirements herein. These requirements may be supplemented by additional requirements specified by the NADCAP Distributors Task Group.

This Aerospace Standard (AS) is to be used as a supplement to SAE AS7112. In addition to the requirements contained in AS7112, the requirements contained herein shall apply to suppliers seeking NADCAP Fluid System Components Accreditation for Hose Manufacturer. Hose may be manufactured as a "Qualified" end item (bulk) or to be qualified as part of an assembly. The corresponding PRI Audit Criteria (AC) is to be applied to ensure the hose is manufactured to the applicable specification(s) and standard(s).

This Aerospace Standard (AS) is to be used as a supplement to SAE AS7112. In addition to the requirements contained in AS7112, the requirements contained herein shall apply to suppliers seeking NADCAP Fluid System Components Accreditation for Hose Assembly. Hose/tube assemblies may be qualified as being comprised of bulk qualified hose/tube and fittings. The purpose of this standard is to define requirements for audit qualification of the hose/tube assembly to an "assembly" procurement/performance specification. It addresses the fabrication of two or more components coupled by means of screwing, bolting, welding, brazing, swaging or crimping together to form an assembly to meet performance criteria - qualification.

This Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the requirements for manufacturers of Fluid System Components to be accredited by the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP). NADCAP accreditation is granted in accordance with SAE AS7003 after demonstrating compliance with the requirements herein. These requirements may be supplemented by additional requirements specified by NADCAP Fluid System Components Task Group. Using the corrsponding Audit Criteria checklists (PRI ACs) will ensure that accredited Fluid System suppliers meet all of the requirements in this standard and all applicable supplementary standards. The purpose of this audit program is to assess a supplier's ability to consistently provide a product or service that conforms to the technical specifications and customer requirements.
