Cable, Power, Electrical, Portable General Specification for

2021-02-19
CURRENT
AS5756C
This specification covers 600 V heavy duty, portable, power, single and multiconductor, electrical cable for severe flexing service (see detail specifications for voltage limitations). The AS5756 insulation system has been used in aerospace ground power applications using 115/200 V (phase to neutral) at 400 Hz AC. Verification of the suitability of this product for use in other electrical system configurations (600 V, etc.) is the responsibility of the user.

Fiber Optics Test Methods and Instrumentation

2011-07-25
CURRENT
AS16781A
This standard gives the general physical, electrical and chemical methods for testing fiber optics cables for conformance with the requirements. It was prepared in order to eliminate unnecessary of undesirable variation in testing procedures. This standard does not include special test methods applicable to certain fiber optics cables which are described in the appropriate specifications, nor does it include all the test methods for fiber optics cable used in industry. In instance of conflict between the provisions of those test methods and those of the individual test procedures or specifications for particular material, the latter shall take precedence.

Sleeve, Protection, For Cable and Harness Protection

2015-12-02
HISTORICAL
AS60491
Procurement specification is principally for defining protection sleeves on a cable or group of electrical/fiber optic wires (wiring bundle). Single wire protection depends on the minimum diameter of the wire. Sleeve may be used to protect a wire bundle for a platform installation or for repair of installed damaged jacket or jacket/shielded wire bundles. See AS50881 for aerospace wire bundle protection installations.

Insulation Sleeving, Electrical, Heat Shrinkable, General Specification For

2016-10-16
HISTORICAL
AS23053
This specification establishes the requirements for various types and colors of electrical insulating sleeving that will shrink to a predetermined size upon the application of heat. This specification includes provisions for demonstrating compliance with qualification requirements (see Section 4 and 7.3), in process inspection, and statistical process control inspections (see 4.4). The continuous operating temperature ranges for the sleeving classes covered by this specification are from -112 to +482 °F (-80 to +250 °C). The continuous operating temperature range for each sleeving class is given in the applicable detail specification.
