Clamps, Support, Comparative Fatigue Strengths, Test Method

2007-08-14
HISTORICAL
ARP1974
This recommended practice establishes vibration and transmissibility test procedures which compare the relative strengths of various loop and saddle type support clamps. This procedure is intended for conducting fatigue testing which is standard throughout the aerospace industry thereby establishing a clamp strength comparison which can be used in an evaluation process. The testing required by this recommended practice ensures that clamps will meet adequate fatigue requirements only. It does not infer qualification of the clamp installation techniques or its ability to meet in-service environments or operating conditions. Separate qualification testing should be performed to ensure satisfactory service of the installed clamp.

References, Spacecraft and Spacecraft Servicing, Fluid System Components (Abbreviations, Acronyms, Definitions, Applicable Documents and Environmental Conditions)

2021-04-30
CURRENT
AIR4728A
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) presents reference information for use in preparing detailed specifications and other documents. The intent is to have a master reference document containing frequently required tabulations of information, such as the meaning of abbreviations, the spelled out wording of acronyms, the definition of terms, etc. so that such tabulations need not be repeated in recommended practice documents describing how to prepare technical documents. This document is intended to provide references in the field of fluid system components for space applications. Space applications include spacecraft, such as satellites, space stations, launch vehicles and space shuttles, and servicing equipment and components used for ground systems and launching and for servicing in space. Fluid system components include couplings, fittings, hose and tubing assemblies.

IMPULSE TESTING OF HYDRAULIC HOSE ASSEMBLIES, TUBING, AND FITTINGS

1977-10-01
HISTORICAL
ARP603D
This recommended practice establishes the requirements and the procedures for impulse testing of hose assemblies, tubing, and fittings for use in aerospace hydraulic systems of 4000 psi nominal operating pressure or less. It also refers to standard impulse test equipment to be used in conducting these impulse tests.

Hydraulic Tubing - Qualification Test Requirements

2015-08-21
CURRENT
MA2006
This international standard establishes flexure and pressure impulse test procedures for determining and classifying the fatigue strengths of bent aircraft hydraulic tubing. The procedures are intended for use with high- and low-pressure system assemblies for evaluation of new materials or for qualification purposes.
