FORCE-DEFLECTION MEASUREMENTS OF CUSHIONED COMPONENTS OF SEATS FOR OFF-ROAD WORK MACHINES

1993-09-01
J1051_199309
This SAE Standard provides a method to obtain consistent force-deflection data of finished (or unfinished, when specified) cushioned components of seats for off-road work machines as listed in SAE J1116 JUN86. This data may be helpful in maintaining seat comfort characteristics and quality control. There is no intent to establish any acceptance criteria.

CLASSIFICATION OF AGRICULTURAL WHEELED TRACTORS FOR VIBRATION TESTS OF OPERATOR SEATS

1986-01-01
J1386_198601
This Recommended Practice defines classes of tractors having similar characteristics which affect the vibration transmitted to the operator through the operator seat. This recommended practice establishes input data parameters for conducting operator seat vibration tests for various classifications for agricultural wheeled tractors. The classification is intended to aid in the selection of a seat for a specific tractor model and to reduce the amount of testing necessary to determine compliance with applicable standards and/or recommendations. Classification is based on basic configuration and total mass. Instrumentation and measurement procedures are specified in SAE J1013 JAN80. Test procedures are defined in SAE J1384. This document is in compliance with DIS 5007 adopted by ISO/TC23/SC3 October 1984 in Madrid, Spain.

CLASSIFICATION OF EARTHMOVING MACHINES FOR VIBRATION TESTS OF OPERATOR SEATS

1983-06-01
J1385_198306
This SAE Recommended Practice pertains to operator seats for the earthmoving category of off-road self-propelled work machines as defined in SAE J1116 JUN81. This recommended practice defines classes of earthmoving machines having similar characteristics which affect the vibration transmitted to the operator through the operator seat. This recommended practice establishes input data parameters for conducting operator seat vibration tests for the various classes. The purpose is to aid in the selection of an operator seat for a specific machine model and to reduce the amount of testing necessary to determine compliance with applicable standards and/or recommendations. Test procedures are specified in SAE J1384. Instrumentation and measurement procedures are specified in SAE J1013 JAN80.
