ATLAS is a standard abbreviated English language used in preparation and documentation of test procedures that can be implemented with automatic or semiautomatic test equipment.
Standard

RESOLUTION OF INSERVICE ANOMALIES THROUGH ASAPP

1997-09-30
CURRENT
ARINC640
Defines a generalized process by which anomalies in aircraft systems can be detected. This process is intended to improve timely isolation and resolution of those anomalies. The objective is to reduce costs to the airlines, airframe manufacturers and aircraft systems suppliers by removing anomalous behavior from aircraft systems in a timely manner.

2002-06-30
CURRENT
ARINC627-2
This standard provides guidance to ATLAS test programmers for developing, writing and documenting test programs in ARINC 626 ATLAS. This is a companion standard to ARINC 608A, Design Guidance for Avionics Test Equipment. It provides guidance to managers and system integrators for standardizing test programs and their documentation.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT GUIDANCE FOR MAINTAINABILITY AND TESTABILITY (PMDMAT)

2015-07-10
CURRENT
ARINC847
ARINC Report 847: Product Development Guidance for Maintainability and Testability (PDMaT) is intended to be used as guidance to enhance the design of avionic equipment, with a focus on maintainability and testability characteristics. It is a separate and parallel standard to ARINC Report 607: Design Guidance for Avionic Equipment. This document does not represent the complete formula for successfully designing and manufacturing avionics equipment or system. It does present the vision of the airline community based on extensive experience gained through the use of such equipment.

NO FAULT FOUND - A CASE STUDY

2010-09-20
CURRENT
ARINC431
This is a final Report of the Avionics Maintenance Conference (AMC) Task Group 116 which was formed to discover the causes of "No Fault Found" in avionics equipment during test. This standard identifies sources of this problem and provides recommendations for its improvement.

LOGICAL SOFTWARE PART PACKAGING FOR TRANSPORT

2015-07-31
CURRENT
ARINC641
The purpose of this standard is to provide a method for packaging aircraft software parts for distribution using contemporary media or by electronic distribution. This project intends to standardize and provide guidance for the storage of floppy based software, currently packaged in media set parts. This standard format can be then stored or distributed on a single physical media member (CD-ROM), or by electronic crate. The obsolescence of floppy disks drive an urgent need for this guidance.

LOADABLE SOFTWARE STANDARDS

2016-07-14
CURRENT
ARINC665-4
This document defines the aircraft industry's standards for Loadable Software Parts (LSPs) and Media Set Parts (MSPs). It describes the common principles and rules to be applied to any part of a data load system to ensure compatibility and inter-operability. It includes part numbering, content, labeling, and formatting of an LSP, and a Media Set containing LSPs.

GUIDELINES FOR THE REDUCTION OF NO FAULT FOUND (NFF)

2008-06-09
CURRENT
ARINC672
The goal of this document is to provide the basis for a structured process to identify, analyze and resolve NFF issues. The NFF issues include providing guidance for decision making pertinent to the root causes of NFF, enabling action in an early stage of the component repair cycle, reducing costs involved with units unnecessarily removed from an aircraft (e.g. maintenance practices, operational factors, training, documentation etc.), highlighting the need for addressing the causes of NFF through component and system design, addressing the development/improvement of maintenance processes, and providing a framework for the interaction between the different domains for the users of this document (listed below) to implement their own strategies.

GUIDANCE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF FIELD LOADABLE SOFTWARE

2017-07-06
CURRENT
ARINC667-2
This document describes effective methods to manage and distribute operation flight software programs, aeronautical data bases and other forms of software used within an airline organization. Topics include software acquisition, software receiving, software distribution and necessary documentation. The FLS management process described in ARINC 667 is compatible with published FAA/JAA guidance on this subject. Software suppliers, airline users and regulators will find this document to be a practical and effective guide.

GUIDANCE FOR STANDARD SUBDIVISION OF ATA SPEC. 100 FOR NUMBERING SYSTEM FOR AVIONICS

1971-10-06
CURRENT
ARINC421
This guidance standard was prepared in response to a need stated by air transport operators for uniformity in further subdividing the ATA Spec. 100 number system to better accommodate avionics systems. The ATA numbers are widely used in the maintenance community for inventory control, instruction manuals and equipment modification Service Bulletins.
Standard

GUIDANCE FOR MODIFICATION STATUS INDICATORS AND AVIONICS SERVICE BULLETINS

2016-07-06
CURRENT
ARINC422-1
This standard provides guidance to the maintenance community for identifying the modification status of avionics components and for preparing avionics service bulletins. This standard coordinates various methods used by airframe manufacturers and operators, for marking or identifying avionics that has been modified.

GUIDANCE FOR MATERIALS, PROCESSES, AND PARTS EQUIVALENCIES

2005-04-18
CURRENT
ARINC670
Industry rules and guidelines support/mandate equivalency, but provide very little guidance on how to realize MPP substitution. Currently, industry guidelines fail to provide adequate direction to maintenance facilities for material, process, and part equivalencies. Suitable substantiation procedures to be able to select alternate materials are demanded by the air transport industry. The purpose of ARINC Report 670 is to provide clear definitions for materials, processes, parts, substantiation requirements, decision boundaries and limitations, and a standard process for equivalency determination. This report is intended as general guidance for avionics maintenance facilities; however, this does not preclude its use for other sectors of aircraft maintenance as appropriate.

GUIDANCE FOR DESIGN AND USE OF BUILT-IN TEST EQUIPMENT

1988-10-31
CURRENT
ARINC604-1
The primary purpose of BITE is to assist maintenance personnel in the proper maintenance of avionics systems in a cost-effective manner. A description of a Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) is included in this standard. The CFDS accumulates fault data, presents this data to a maintenance operator, and assists troubleshooting by performing diagnostic tests and performing verification testing after installation of a replacement unit.
