GUIDANCE FOR TOOL AND TEST EQUIPMENT (TTE) EQUIVALENCY

2015-08-01
CURRENT
ARINC735B-2
This document defines a Traffic Surveillance capability for NextGen and SESAR airspace environments. Supplement 2 adds hybrid surveillance functionality. It satisfies recent updates to FAA Airworthiness Circular AC 20-151B - Airworthiness Approval of Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS II), and Technical Standard Order TSO-119d requiring the annunciation of a hybrid surveillance failure. Supplement 2 also adds strobe program pinning, updates TCAS inputs status, improves aircraft troubleshooting, and supports recent central maintenance computer function block point updates.

GUIDANCE FOR AIR TRANSPORT SERVICE BULLETINS

2022-09-21
CURRENT
ARINC682
This document provides industry guidance to supplement ATA standards and airframe requirements, addressing gaps and vague areas to move suppliers/vendors and airframers toward a common standard for format and wording in Vendor Service Bulletins (VSB) for Air Transport components. This document supplements the VSB guidance of iSpec 2200, providing clarity of requirements and resulting in a common standard wording and format of VSBs from all suppliers on all aircraft types. The guidance in this document is intended to be applied to VSBs created and released subsequent to the release of the guidance document and will not require the retroactive update of VSBs released prior to the creation and release of the guidance.

LiDAR Technologies and Systems

2019-07-10
Why are vision systems fundamental and critical to autonomous flight? What are the vision system tasks required for autonomous flight? How can those tasks be approached? It addresses the role of vision systems for autonomous operations and discusses the critical tasks required of a vision system, including taxi, takeoff, en-route navigation, detect and avoid, and landing, as well as formation flight or approach and docking at a terminal or with other vehicles. These tasks are analyzed to develop field of view, resolution, latency, and other sensing requirements and to understand when one sensor can be used for multiple applications. Airspace classifications, landing visibility categories, decision height criteria, and typical runway dimensions are introduced. The book provides an overview of sensors and phenomenology from visible through infrared, extending into the radar bands and including both passive and active systems.

EMBEDDED INTERCHANGE FORMAT FOR AIRPORT MAPPING DATABASE

2016-08-31
CURRENT
ARINC816-3
This document defines an open encoding format for airport databases which are loaded in airborne systems. This format, when designed and implemented, will enable a quick, economic, and efficient use of AMDB. However, since industry does not require applications to be standardized, data interpretation is not addressed in this document.
