The MQ-25 is the U.S. Navy’s first operational carrier-based UAS and is designed to provide a much-needed, low-cost refueling capability to aircraft like the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, Boeing EA-18 Growler, and Lockheed Martin F-35C fighters.
Japan officials continue to boost the country’s defenses against threats, exercising the option to add a second Boeing KC-46 Pegasus military aerial refueling and strategic military transport aircraft, based on the Boeing 767 commercial passenger jet, to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force’s fleet of aircraft.
