Aluminum Alloy Forgings and Rolled Rings, 4.4Cu - 0.85Si - 0.80Mn - 0.50Mg (2014-T6), Solution and Precipitation Heat Treated AMS4133A

This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of die forgings, hand forgings, rolled rings, and forging stock. These products have been used typically for aircraft structural members requiring moderately high strength. Certain design and processing procedures may cause these forgings and rolled rings to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP823 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
